Essex Dwarf Rape Seed

10 lbs. - $12.99
In Vermont, we use Essex Dwarf Rape Seed for a fall and early winter food source. It has a very pungent smell similar to a cabbage plant.
The plant will not be touched by deer most of the summer but once hit by frost they will be eating this plant right down to the ground. In the summer months we have seen significant usage by turkeys picking bugs.
How we recommend using this product:
Plant this product among other products to get the best usage by deer, turkey and other wildlife. We frost seed this plant in the spring onto an existing food plot or we will mix it with Clover and Alfa-Rack on new plantings. The plants need to be used sparingly since the large nature of its leaves will shade out other products. This product is an annual, but occasionally a few plants may return in the spring.
